So today is Saturday and my day off so I decided to try and do something healthy so I went for an hour walk! I took some pictures and just had a good time.

And I'm back!
So recently I had my biometrics screening and got all of my numbers so I know how healthy I am. I know my BMI is bad, I'm not ignoring that, but just knowing that my other numbers are in the healthy range really makes me happy. This just means that I don't have to fight against other things like my cholesterol or my glucose when trying to lose weight I can really focus in on just getting that number smaller.
I'll update more often with fitbit results and weekly gym updates!

Random Side Post
I'm writing this on my phone while at work just to see how it looks. All I can say is that when you're trying to lose weight being broke doesn't help. When I have about $3 for lunch the best I can do is pop-tarts.
Oh well. Ill have to learn for next time and think ahead for lunches...

District 11's Crescent Moon Rolls
It's been quite a while and I sincerely apologize for that. I have a few reasons as to why, but I'll save that for another post. So this comes from before Thanksgiving. I've tried this recipe before and it did not turn out well. I think it was because the yeast had not bloomed and was still asleep when I tried to use it so the dough never rose. :( very sad when that happens, let me tell you! So this was my second attempt and I do think it turned out way better!
Unfortunately I didn't take step by step photos because I figured this wouldn't work out again and didn't want to be even more depressed ') I guess next time I'll always think I'll succeed. So anyway, here are some photos!

Post-Thanksgiving Plan
So I do have some food posts coming up, some new recipes I tried and some came out great; others not so much. Anyway the point of this short post guess what I did today?
I worked out :D Now I know this isn't a world changing event, and I'm sure you're thinking Vanessa this is a blog about becoming healthy at some point you had to work out. But here's the thing, I actually did it! I had this plan this morning because I wanted to take a shower and start cleaning the house. So I decided I would work out then shower, but as I got out of my bed I thought it was too cold and I didn't want to get on my treadmill and walk/run. I had myself convinced I would just shower, then all of a sudden bam! My work out shoes were on and I was walking into the living room to run. After running for about 1 mile (I know baby steps) I turned on my Wii and danced for 30 minutes to Just Dance 3.
I feel so great you guys! Anyway I'll wrap this up so it doesn't become too awkward.
